Measure your own ring
If you already have a ring that fits you just right, just measure the distance between the inside of the upper edge and the lower edge. Then you can check it out in the chart online to see what is the size of the ring in numbers.
A quicker way is that you can print out a true-to-size ring size chart and place the ring on the circles until you find one that matches up.

Use a string or floss to measure

Getting your ring finger measurement seems to be an easy task, but there are a few things you need to take into consideration:
- Your finger size can change throughout the whole day depending on the temperature. So it’s better to measure your finger in the evening and remember to warm up your hand before measuring.
- Pay attention to your knuckle to make sure your ring slide over it easily.
- Your dominant hand tends to be slightly bigger so only measure the finger that you’re going to wear the ring.
- Wider band rings fit tighter than thin rings so it makes sense to size if you’re planning to get one.

Are women’s and men’s ring sizes the same?
