Halloweentown (1998)

The story starts with Marnie and her siblings (Dylan and Sophie) finding out they are from a witch family. Aggie, their grandmother, is more enthusiastic about this and plans to train Marnie as a witch. However, Aggie explains that she must defeat an evil creature that resembles a hooded demon in Halloweentown with the help of Marnie. Aggie takes the children to town to buy the ingredients for a talisman that will defeat the creature.

Halloweentown (1998)

The demon appears and stops them, turns out he is Kalabar. He preaches to the townspeople in an attempt to persuade them to join him in his quest to conquer the mortal world. Gwen, Aggie, and the children, who are shown to have magical abilities, confront and defeat Kalabar. Finally, the family departs for the mortal realm, where Gwen and Aggie agree to train Marnie as a witch.

Halloweentown II: Kalabar’s Revenge (2001)

The second film in the Halloweentown order series, "Halloweentown II: Kalabar's Revenge" was released in 2001, and picks up where the first one left off. Marnie is now 13 years old and is losing her magical abilities. Aggie returns to Halloweentown to teach Marnie how to use her magic before it's too late; however, when they arrive, they discover that Halloweentown is in danger!

They discover that everything in town has been turned black and white. Humans have become drab, discolored, and repetitive. The spell has also affected Marnie's goblin friend Luke. Aggie labels this the "Grey Spell." Kalabar, the evil warlock, has taken over Halloweentown and is using its inhabitants to carry out his evil plans. Marnie, Dylan, and Sophie must stop him.

Halloweentown High (2004)

Halloweentown High (2004) was released three years after the second movie and is the third film in the Halloweentown series order. The story revolves around the main character, Marnie Piper (also known as Marnie Dent), as she gets ready to start her first year at a new school and campaigns for a more accepting society in both Halloweentown and the mortal world. The myth of the Knights of Iron Dagger, a fervent order of knights who sought to eradicate all manifestations of magic, causes the council to be initially wary.

Halloweentown High (2004)

The Halloweentown High Council accepts Marnie's plan after she mistakenly wagers that it will succeed with "all the Cromwell magic." If she can't show she's right by Halloween at midnight, her entire family will lose their magical abilities.

Return to Halloweentown (2006)

The last Halloweentown movies in order was released in 2006 with the replacement of the main actress. Kimberly J. Brown was replaced by Sara Paxton to be the new Marnie Piper. Marnie, who has a full scholarship to Halloweentown's Witch University after doing good deeds and helping in previous years, is the protagonist of the story.

Marnie had hoped to learn how to use her magic, but she is now dissatisfied because the witches and warlocks are unable to do so; instead, they study various types of magic that have existed throughout history. She, then, meets up with Ethan, an old friend, and befriends Aneesa the Genie, a new acquaintance.
