How to measure your baby hat size
If you’re going to buy a new hat for your baby, both in-store or on the internet, you need to acknowledge what size range are they in. Their hat size is based on the circumference of their head, follow our step-by-step guide below to get the right measurements.
- Step 1: First thing first, you’ll need to get a measuring tool. Since a baby’s head can be fragile, you should use a flexible measuring tape (both plastic or cloth is fine). But if you don’t have a measuring tape at home, just use a string or cord as a replacement.
- Step 2: Wrap the measuring tool around the widest part of your baby’s head. This usually is just right above their eyebrows and ears.
- Step 3: Remember the measurement on the tape. If you’re using a string, mark when it overlaps and measure the distance with a ruler.
- Step 4: Use a hat size chart for babies to translate the measurement into hat size numbers.
Make sure to have your child's head measurement before getting them a new hat.
